Editorial Policy
PlainBattery publishes reference material to help readers identify a battery and verify a replacement. Specifications and compatibility conclusions are edited independently of advertising.
Page responsibilities
- Model pages cover identity, dimensions, voltage, chemistry, aliases, and replacement limits.
- Comparison pages answer whether two named models can share a holder and electrical requirement.
- Application pages help identify common batteries used by a device class.
- Articles cover procedures such as testing, current measurement, fault diagnosis, and purchase verification.
Review standard
A technical review checks the claims listed in each page’s review record against linked manufacturer material. A source must support the exact field for which it is cited. Retailer listings and search snippets do not override a manufacturer datasheet.
Safety and uncertainty
Near matches are described explicitly. A shared diameter alone does not prove compatibility. Rechargeable chemistry, charging, ingestion, hearing-aid, and medical-device claims receive a visible warning and direct readers to the device manufacturer.
Commercial separation
Advertising does not determine which model is recommended. Promotional links, if introduced later, will be labeled and use appropriate sponsored-link attributes.
