Four compatibility grades

Every chart uses the same four labels so a brand prefix is not confused with a different cell.

Exact

Same IEC size and chemistry. Brand letters (DL, ECR, AG) are labels, not a different cell.

Compatible

Same outline and voltage class. A maker suffix or pulse rating may differ; it still fits the tray.

Conditional

Fits the holder but chemistry, drain, or temperature rating is different. Confirm the device spec.

Not Compatible

Wrong voltage, thickness, or chemistry. Do not stack, pad, or force the cell.

Where the data comes from

Charts are compiled from IEC 60086 naming, manufacturer datasheets (Panasonic / Murata, Maxell, Energizer, Duracell), and common retail labels such as DL, ECR, AG, 357, and 377. We do not invent interchangeability. Voltage, chemistry, and physical size must all match. Last verified Aug 25, 2026.
